MAMMOTH, SWAT Historic Capital: SWAT recently made the headlines following their declaration of War against the Ice Warriors. CP Army League however, just got notified of an announcement that was made in the SWAT Discord. The Leadership had decided that this SWAT Generation were to be merged with the Doritos Army.
SWAT was originally created by Ganger90 in 2009 but were more formally created in 2011 by Ganger90. The army was one constantly at war, with ACP being the most fierce of opponents but many wars took place against major players such as Dark Warriors, Golds and Ice Warriors. There was no doubt that their major enemy was ACP, feuding multiple times throughout 2012-2016. Successes were also apparent in tournament competitions, making the finals of the CPAC Champions Cup in March 2012. SWAT also took part in the Black Alliance vs White Alliance war with SWAT siding with the Black Alliance, not surprising due to their hatred of ACP.
Many famous and notorious leaders have taken the helm at SWAT such as Badboy, Spi101, Tacodaily and many more. However SWAT has not been all glory, with in 2015, SWAT coming under heavy fire due to multilogging as discussed in the CPAC Great Gambit report by then CPAC CEO Zakster. Although SWAT officially apologised after the report came out, it certainly tainted their image there on out.

After many years laying in rest, SWAT had finally returned to the army community on the 4th of April 2020 under the leadership of several former SWAT leaders and some leaders making their SWAT debut. Making their returns to the SWAT leadership were S Cargo2, who first led the army in 2011 and 2012 and Zuke who first led the army in 2013-2015 and became SWAT Legend in 2016. Jaylen and Sweater also joined them for this generation, as two respected army veterans.
SWAT had hit the ground running by maxing 42 in their very first event. However this was not all as SWAT then went on to max 100 on the 12th of April 2020, merely 8 days since their revival.

In its short tenure at Club Penguin Army League, SWAT definitely were an army to watch out for. Despite it’s several Leadership changes, SWAT continued on strong. However it was not one without its own set of problems. In its short tenure, SWAT were forced to move Discords following their ousting of Frozen Zuke from their Leadership. What ensued was the return of Badboy to the helm of the Leadership. Under Badboy, SWAT underwent some major changes, not only fundamentally, but also as part of its external relations. Almost immediately after Badboy’s return, SWAT openly declared War on the Ice Warriors and their Allies. Some might even say that this was the tipping point for the army. Following their declaration of War, SWAT maxes began to fall to mere 20+.
SWAT then went on to face the IW in their Invasion of Permafrost where they lost the battle in a highly controversial judicial verdict 2-1 in favor of Ice Warriors.

Following this War and the closure of CPO, SWAT as an army barely managed to hit sizes of 25, they took a heavy hit in their Top Ten Rankings as well, as they only managed to rank 14th in the recent edition of the Universal Top Twenty. CPOAL: Before we begin, could you first throw some light as to what exactly happened and why SWAT decided to merge into DCP?
Sweater: To be honest, SWAT was starting to decline a little, and CPO closing just basically said “hey, you’re not recruiting anymore” and as a result, the decline continued and started to get worse. Badboy & myself realised this, and we decided to talk to the Doritos leadership about a possible merger, as our troops and high command are simply too good to scatter around, and I would prefer to give them a good home 😀
CPOAL: That sounds great, however, its been almost an hour since the supposed merger took place, and yet there’s been no official announcement as such from SWAT over the merger, why would that be so?
Sweater: There will be an official statement on the SWAT website, along with an official announcement on the SWAT discord, written by myself or Badboy.
CPOAL: Well considering that you said the entire motive behind this was to ensure your HCOM wouldn’t get scattered, and yet you also say that this decision was taken by the Leadership alone, do you not feel that this might prove to be counter produtive to your original goal?
Sweater: My high command are smart and realise that the SWAT family is exactly that – family. When you move house in real life, you don’t suddenly lose your family. We’re still the SWAT family, just wearing orange.
CPOAL: Thats good to hear, so what would you say would be your goals in the future? Does it entail a possible return of SWAT?
Sweater: I don’t think so. However, we said this same thing in 2017 and yet here we are!
